In order to meet the demand for lightweight, the flange plate forgings of wheel hub bearing units tend to have complex product shapes. Traditional manufacturing processes use two steps of upsetting and final forging for forming. However, this design has found that the product flow line, filling effect, and mold life are relatively poor. Therefore, a multi station forming process was proposed: upsetting → forward extrusion → pre forging → final forging → punching
